Are you seeing everything you can see?

Sometimes clients tell me when they aren't seeing well they can't think well or hear well. If we can't see, think or hear, life can become a huge challenge. If you could sit across the table from your optician, what would you expect from her or him?

Home Optics goes where you are – at your home, in your living room or kitchen or dining room table. It can also go to your office or where it is convenient for you. It sets the stage for good observation, good listening and time to help meet your visual needs. And, of course, it is fun to help create some fun, unusual, unique eyewear.

Does it cost extra for that service? Not at all. The prices are competitive. Some glasses can be delivered within 24 hours, but extra treatments take extra time. All you need is your prescription for glasses or contact lenses.

Home Optics is very concerned about eye health. Sometimes you will see Joy at health fairs doing glaucoma tests and explaining that disease and how to address it so it will not lead to blindness for you. Often clients will ask about special concerns relating to their eyes. If she doesn't know the answer, she will refer them to get the questions and concerns answered. Sometimes you will see her doing free vision screening with the Chugiak Lion's Club. Children from 6 months to 6 years will have a Polaroid picture taken of their eyes.   Those photos are forwarded to Dr. Robert Arnold who evaluates if that child is near-sighted, far-sighted, has astigmatism, cataracts, or if their eyes are working together as a team. After one little boy was encouraged to have a complete eye exam after the screening, they discovered he has some severe visual problems. When he had been wearing his new glasses for a few days, he said,   “Now I can run outside really fast.” If someone gives her an expired prescription, she always encourages them to see their doctor for a complete eye exam.

If you have a hard time picking out your glasses, you could schedule a Home Optical Party. They are really fun. The savings to the host or hostess is huge. People love helping each other pick out their glasses and are usually honest. Lots of people can't see what they are trying on and their friend's opinion gives them confidence. The event could be held at Joy's house or yours, or a local coffee shop, or….
